Kaduna Governor, Uba Sani Accepts Hosting Of 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has officially accepted to host the 3rd Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) and the 63rd Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

The Governor made the announcement on Sunday during a high-level meeting with the NIPR Governing Council at Government House, Kaduna.

In a statement issued by Stanley Ogadigo, the Director of Public Relations, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Senator Sani commended the Institute for establishing the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) and securing hosting rights for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), describing the achievement as evidence of quality leadership at the global level.

“The capacity to attract the hosting right of the WPRF to Nigeria speaks to the quality of leadership that NIPR has demonstrated at the global stage,” the Governor said.

He expressed satisfaction with the Institute’s choice of theme for the 2026 NPRW – “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate; the Imperatives of Public Relations”, and its selection of Kaduna State as host, viewing it as recognition of ongoing transformation in the state.

The statement noted that the Governor approved all requests presented by the Institute and assured that his administration would partner with NIPR to ensure a successful programme with significant positive impact on society.

Earlier in his presentation, NIPR President, Dr Ike Neliaku, disclosed that the 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week has been packaged as a special edition that will serve as a prelude to the 2026 World Public Relations Forum.

Dr Neliaku described the NPRW as the largest gathering of communication and reputation management professionals in Nigeria, noting that the 2026 edition would attract international participants, resource persons, and development partners.

“You cannot quantify the reputation capital, financial capital, and professional capital that will emerge from this event,” the NIPR President stated.

Mr. Ogadigo in the statement revealed that the event which is scheduled for April 2026, is expected to draw over 2,000 delegates to Kaduna State, with projections indicating a significant boost to the state’s economy.
