The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced applications for ad-hoc election staff for the Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for 8 November 2025. The recruitment portal opened on 15th September 2025 and will close on 5th October 2025.

Positions, Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants can apply for the following positions:

| Position | Key Requirements / Eligibility |
| Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO) | Must be a public or civil servant on Grade Level 10-14, or an INEC Registration Area Officer/INEC staff not currently engaged in other election duties. |
| Registration Area Centre (RAC) Manager | Should be the Head of the school or public institution hosting a RAC, or other staff at that institution/public building on Grade Level 07 or above. |
| Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO) | Eligible candidates include: serving or recent NYSC members; penultimate students at Federal/State tertiary institutions (with IT skills); permanent staff of MDAs (Ministries, Departments & Agencies) with OND or those on Grade Level 07-10; permanent INEC staff on Grade Levels 07 & 08; or former corps members from batches not earlier than 2021. |
| RATECH (Registration Area Technical Support) | Reserved for INEC ICT-staff (State & Headquarters) not engaged in other election duties; applicants must have IT background. |
Other General Conditions
- Applicants must not be members of any political party or have publicly demonstrated support for any candidate or party.
- Applicants should reside in Anambra State, or in some cases in neighbouring states (Delta, Enugu, Imo), depending on the role. The exception is RATECH roles, which are not strictly geography-limited to one state.
How to Apply
- Interested persons must register via INECPRES (INEC’s official portal) or using the mobile Android app.
- Before registering, applicants must ensure they have certain items ready: a functional email address and other personal identification/information.
- Each applicant is allowed to apply for one election staff position only.
- After completing registration, applicants will receive an acknowledgement slip (printable) and a confirmation email.
